Exercise nobility of character (Ευγενειαν ασκει) — revisiting this one.

When we are accused of things that we have NOT done, it is tempting to lash out in anger and be actively rude to the accuser. Especially when that person is accusing you of not understanding something that you have made a study of with an eye to how they apply to you personally.

As I said, it is TEMPTING. If you lash out, you are NOT understanding or trying to live the message of THIS Maxim. That is something that I am attempting to do. I do not always succeed, however, but I do try to.

With the distractions of life, I would hope that my friends would tell me if I fall short. I pray that they will.
